St Peters House is a community-based counselling and wellbeing service in central Tauranga that provides free or low-cost support for individuals, couples, and parents facing life challenges. Our focus is on improving mental health, emotional wellbeing, relationships, and personal resilience.
We provide professional counselling and courses with the aim to equip people with skills and tools that can continue to be used and developed long after they have finished working with us.
COUNSELLING
We provide professional counselling for individuals and couples experiencing things such as:
• Anxiety and stress
• Depression
• Grief and loss
• Relationship difficulties
• Communication
• Parenting challenges
• Self-esteem and identity struggles
• Loneliness and life transitions
• Suicide bereavement
Sessions are confidential, non-judgmental, and aimed at helping people build practical tools and insight for long-term wellbeing.
PARENTING SUPPORT
St Peters House runs the Incredible Years Parenting Programme, a structured course for parents and caregivers of children aged 3 to 8 years. It focuses on practical parenting strategies, emotional connection, and managing behaviour in positive ways. This course is fully funded by the Ministry of Education.

St Peters House also offers a range of group courses designed to support confidence, emotional growth, and life skills, including:

A women’s course that helps participants learn healthy boundaries, relationship balance, and self-care.
Your True Worth
A women’s course focused on self-worth, values, grief, forgiveness, and personal growth.
CAP Money / Get Control
A practical budgeting and financial wellbeing course that helps people gain confidence managing money and reduce financial stress.
