This tool is designed to make preparing annual financial statements easy and is free for small charities in Aotearoa.
The Good Numbers Tier 4 Tool has come from a desire to do bookkeeping better for non-profits and charities in New Zealand.
What does it do?
Creates a set of financial statements for your charity.
Statements are created in the XRB simple template, compliant with the Charities Register.
Automatically codes your bank transactions into the categories set out by the XRB.
Statements are fully editable for you to change if you wish.
How does it work?
Using your Charities registration number (e.g. CC12345) it gets public information from the Charities Register.
You upload your charity’s bank statements.
Uses AI to detect the category for each bank transaction.
Enters data into a Google Spreadsheet for you to edit, print and sign.
Can my charity use it?
You must be a registered with Charity Services.
You must have spent less than $140,000 for the year, and used Tier 4 reporting last year.
You must not be GST registered.
You must be able to log into online banking and download bank statements in QIF format.
